IT Systems Support Specialist (Willcox, AZ)
About The Position
Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) is seeking an IT Systems Support Specialist to join their team in Willcox, AZ. This position provides hands-on technology support throughout the Cooperative, helping employees stay connected and productive through reliable computer hardware, software, network devices, printers, phones, mobile devices, and other technology. The position also supports network and cybersecurity operations, responds to technology service outages, maintains specialized technology, and may provide technology support to Technical Services and line crews in the field.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or five years of directly related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required.
- Must possess a valid Arizona Class D driver's license.
- All offers of employment are contingent upon completing a standard pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Cisco and higher-tier CompTIA certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, mobile devices, software, phones, printers, and other end-user technology.
- Support network and Virtual Private Network connectivity, infrastructure, cybersecurity operations, software patching, and response to technology outages.
- Troubleshoot end-user system issues and provide timely technical support across the Cooperative.
- Install and support specialized technology, including audio/visual equipment, specialty software, and copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Maintain technology assets and recommend improvements to IT systems, infrastructure, and service delivery.
- Provide field technology support as needed and assist the team during cybersecurity incident responses.
- Maintain positive working relationships with employees and members.
