About The Position
This role is for an IT Systems & Support Analyst in Edmonton. The position involves keeping IT systems running smoothly, building smarter systems, and providing support to end-users. The analyst will be responsible for server administration, hardware deployment and maintenance, infrastructure support at branch locations, identity and access management, system security, SQL database work, and documentation. Additionally, the role focuses on improving systems through automation, scripting, and contributing to IT projects.
Requirements
- Solid experience with Active Directory (on-prem & Azure AD)
- Microsoft 365 expertise (including Exchange Online)
- Strong SQL skills—querying, databases, and data analysis
- PowerShell scripting know-how
- Real-world experience supporting users in a corporate environment
- A knack for translating business needs into smart technical solutions
- Clear communication skills—you can explain complex ideas without the jargon
- 4+ years of experience in a similar IT role
- A degree or diploma in IT (or related field)
- Strong SQL and data analysis experience
- Proven work with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online
- PowerShell scripting (required)
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%)
- The ability to juggle priorities and stay organized under pressure

Responsibilities
- Own server administration—configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades
- Deploy and maintain hardware while keeping our IT asset inventory sharp and organized
- Provide hands-on infrastructure support at branch locations (networks, connectivity, installs)
- Manage identities and access through Active Directory & Azure AD (users, permissions, GPOs)
- Keep systems secure with strong configurations and access controls
- Support end-users and solve tech issues with speed and clarity
- Work with SQL databases to power reporting and business insights
- Create clear, helpful documentation
- Spot inefficiencies and turn them into streamlined, automated processes
- Write scripts (PowerShell, SQL, Python) that save time and reduce manual work
- Contribute ideas and expertise to exciting IT projects and continuous improvements
