About The Position

Ricardo is a world leader in propulsion engineering, specializing in complex propulsion, driveline, and energy systems. They work with customers globally to deliver end-to-end solutions from initial design through to full production. This role focuses on delivering high-quality IT services, specifically in the provision, administration, and compliance of servers, storage, virtualization technology, and cloud environments. The IT Engineer will be part of a local team including an IT Support Technician, with wider System Engineering team members located in the UK, Czechia, and China, ensuring seamless global delivery and problem resolution. The role involves supporting the mitigation of security vulnerabilities, resolving security incidents, applying information security principles, understanding technology costs, engaging with external parties, following standards and best practices, and contributing to the IT roadmap.

Good understanding of the principles of Information Security and the role of compliance in operational IT.
Experience with the configuration and administration of M365, including Entra, Intune and Autopilot.
Creating and maintaining operational documentation.

Basic UNIX/Linux experience desirable
Vendor Management
Experience working in the engineering design and manufacturing sector.
Experience with Dell and Cisco servers, Synology and Netapps storage.
Higher level qualification in an IT discipline.
Delivery of technical projects according to specification and communication with stakeholders.
Experience working with vendors to deliver IT solutions and services.
Networking knowledge including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP and related protocols
Knowledge of Azure Fundamentals

Responsibilities

Maintain high-quality IT services through the provision of server, storage and cloud technology stacks.
Proactive administration and management of IT Infrastructure.
Incident and event management.
Change management.
Vulnerability and patch management.
Privileged Access Management.
Cost analysis and obsolescence planning.
Resolution of 2nd and 3rd line support tickets.
Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or on-call availability as required.
Support networking through collaboration with global network team.
Collaborate with the wider IT team to support.
