About The Position

The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting IT applications and for ensuring the availability, stability, and reliability of those applications. They monitor system performance, identify, and resolve technical issues, and ensure efficient operation of all clinical systems. The analyst also provides technical support to end-users and collaborates with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems related to clinical systems. CoxHealth is a leading healthcare system serving 25 counties across southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas. The organization includes six hospitals, 5 ERs, and over 80 clinics. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare clinical workflows and/or IT support, including experience with nursing, provider, or ancillary department technologies OR Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, a related field (for IT Systems Analyst I).
  • 4 years of experience in healthcare clinical workflows and/or IT support, including experience with nursing, provider, or ancillary department technologies OR Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, a related field (for IT Systems Analyst II).
  • Basic understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows.
  • Basic knowledge of inter-related solutions and IT systems knowledge with the aligned application domain.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of related IT systems as well as supporting business and IT domains.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inter-related solutions and IT systems knowledge with the aligned application domain (for IT Systems Analyst II).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with department resources (for IT Systems Analyst II).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team (for IT Systems Analyst II).
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows (for IT Systems Analyst II).

  • Must be able to carry 10-15 pounds of equipment and lift into a rack.

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco, Aruba, VMWare Certifications strongly preferred: CCNP, CCIE, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting IT applications.

  • Configuring Devices: Routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.
  • Troubleshooting using tools like Ping, traceroute, Wireshark, NetFlow, SNMP monitoring.
  • Working with Cabling & Hardware: Fiber, copper, transceivers, patch panels, rack/stack.
  • Understanding and applying Networking Fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI model, subnetting, VLANs, routing vs. switching, DNS, DHCP, NAT.
  • Working with Protocols & Services: HTTP/S, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, VPNs, VoIP, multicast.
  • Utilizing LAN/WAN Technologies: Ethernet, wireless standards (802.11), MPLS, SD-WAN.
  • Implementing Routing & Switching: Static and dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP), STP, port channels, trunking.
