About The Position

The IT Systems Analyst II at NorthStar Energy is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems solutions to meet the organization's business needs. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, conducting system assessments, and providing technical expertise to enhance and support IT systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Systems Analyst or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of system analysis, design, and implementation methodologies.
  • Experience working with complex enterprise systems and applications.
  • Proficiency in system development life cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and SQL queries.
  • Understanding of system integration principles and techniques.
  • Experience with system testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in the energy or utilities industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives.
  • Evaluate existing IT systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
  • Design and develop system specifications, workflows, and user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with software developers, database administrators, and IT teams to implement system enhancements and changes.
  • Conduct system testing, including creating and executing test plans, to ensure quality and performance.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support to end-users.
  • Coordinate system upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and user manuals to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for system optimization and innovation.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior systems analysts.
