About The Position

The Systems Analyst performs a variety of technical work associated with analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate clinical functions or to improve existing information technology related systems. This role involves developing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), ancillary application and inter-related systems to meet use and regulatory standards as well as to meet the needs of the system. The analyst is responsible for designing and building within assigned application/system to meet the needs of providers, staff, and patients. They assist in developing the tools, providers, and staff need to give health care to patients while ensuring security and efficiency. The position also involves IT System Support & Maintenance, applying analytical skills and related application knowledge to design, build, and install upgrades and/or new implementations, troubleshooting application issues, performing necessary maintenance tasks, reviewing and testing changes in newly released software, and maintaining necessary documentation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of hands-on experience with the support of LCMC Health’s legacy application systems, programming, and/or system integration support
  • Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot application issues to determine best resolution
  • Perform necessary maintenance tasks for assigned application(s) as required
  • Review and test changes in newly released software to ensure integrity
  • Maintain necessary documentation to reflect current system state
  • Meet all project deadlines
  • Effectively communicate with leadership and customers of progress and potential risk
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all system configurations and other required areas
  • Prepare detailed programming and/or integration specifications as required
