IT Systems Administrator

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years of IT experience including network administration or systems support preferred
- Experience with Cisco routers, Dell switches, firewalls, and VMware environments
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, cybersecurity, and troubleshooting
- Industry certifications such as CCNP or CCNA are a plus
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service mindset
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate across teams
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security
- Support and maintain REMC's IT systems and integrations across the organization
- Administer Microsoft server and client environments
- Manage LAN, WAN, cellular communications, SAN, VMware, and firewall systems
- Provide responsive technical support to employees via Teams, phone, email, or in person
- Troubleshoot issues related to devices, applications, MFA, and remote access
- Configure and manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, VLANs, and segmentation
- Strengthen cybersecurity practices and protect system integrity
- Perform system upgrades, audits, and vulnerability assessments
- Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and processes
- Support Azure and Entra environments and virtualization infrastructure
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
