About the Role We are seeking a dependable and solutions-oriented IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain our day-to-day technology operations. This role serves as the primary internal IT resource, helping ensure stable, secure, and efficient systems across the organization while coordinating closely with an external IT vendor for advanced infrastructure support and escalated technical issues. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-service mindset. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and supporting users across a variety of technologies.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role
- Familiarity with IT ticketing or help desk systems
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience working in a small business environment or alongside an external IT provider is preferred
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal IT support requests
- Provide daily technical support for hardware, software, basic networking, and VoIP phone systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues or escalate complex problems to the external IT vendor as needed
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Coordinate with external IT partners on server maintenance, cybersecurity, backups, network infrastructure, and system updates
- Assist with system upgrades, software patches, and implementation of new technology solutions
- Monitor system performance and identify recurring issues or operational risks
- Act as a liaison between warehouse teams and Sales, Project Teams, Purchasing, and Transport
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including device setup and account provisioning
- Maintain accurate documentation for IT assets, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Collaborate with internal departments to support operational efficiency and technology needs
