About The Position

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the organization's technology infrastructure. This role serves as a front-line technical resource for end users and is accountable for ensuring reliable operations across endpoint devices, network systems, cloud services, physical security systems, and mobile devices. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a service-oriented mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in an IT support or systems administration role
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy administration
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and basic TCP/IP networking concepts
  • Experience deploying and managing endpoint patching solutions
  • Proficiency with at least one MDM platform (Intune, Jamf, or equivalent)
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot printers, cameras, and peripheral equipment
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks in a dynamic environment
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification
  • Experience with ITSM/ticketing platforms
  • Familiarity with industrial or manufacturing IT environments
  • Experience supporting multi-site organizations with remote locations
  • Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework or basic information security principles
  • Skill in communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, vendors, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows and/or macOS desktops, laptops, and workstations across all company locations
  • Perform hardware provisioning, imaging, and lifecycle management including asset tagging and inventory tracking
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems as appropriate
  • Manage software installations, license compliance, and approved application deployments
  • Install, configure, and maintain networked and local printers, copiers, and multifunction devices
  • Manage print server configurations and queue management
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, supply replenishment, and device replacements
  • Install, configure, and maintain IP-based surveillance cameras and associated recording systems
  • Monitor camera system health, perform firmware updates, and troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Coordinate access and footage retrieval requests in compliance with company policy
  • Administer Microsoft Azure environments including virtual machines, storage accounts, and resource groups
  • Support Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) including user provisioning, group policy, and conditional access
  • Assist with Azure-based backup, disaster recovery, and cloud resource cost management
  • Monitor Azure service health, alerts, and security recommendations through the Azure portal
  • Experience working with Remote Desktop Services (RDS) Broker Server and session-based RDS pools to manage user connections, distribute workloads, and ensure reliable access to virtualized desktops and applications. Responsibilities include monitoring session performance, maintaining server health, and troubleshooting connectivity or session issues.
  • Manage on-premises Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Perform routine server maintenance including patching, health checks, and performance tuning
  • Administer file shares, storage systems, and backup/recovery solutions
  • Maintain virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and support VM provisioning and lifecycle management
  • Monitor network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points using network management tools
  • Respond to network alerts and outages; perform initial troubleshooting and escalate to network engineers as needed
  • Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, IP address management (IPAM), and configuration records
  • Support VPN, remote access, and SD-WAN solutions as applicable
  • Administer endpoint patch management platforms (e.g., WSUS, Microsoft Intune, or equivalent) to maintain currency on OS and application patches
  • Develop and manage patch deployment schedules aligned with organizational change management policies
  • Validate patch success rates, remediate failures, and generate compliance reports for leadership
  • Support vulnerability scanning initiatives and coordinate remediation activities
  • Administer MDM platform (e.g., Microsoft Intune) for corporate-owned
  • Manage application deployment, remote wipe capabilities, and device compliance reporting
  • Maintain MDM inventory and ensure device compliance with company security standards
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for IT service requests and incident resolution via helpdesk ticketing system
  • Provide courteous, timely, and professional support to employees at all levels of the organization
  • Document resolutions, create knowledge base articles, and train end users on technology best practices
  • Communicate system outages, maintenance windows, and IT updates clearly to affected stakeholders
