About The Position

Mintlify builds the documentation platform that reaches 100 million+ developers every year. We power docs for 18,000+ companies — including Anthropic, Microsoft, PayPal, Spotify, Coinbase, and X. We're fewer than 50 employees, backed by $22 million in funding from a16z, and we look for people with learning velocity, grit, and unapologetically unique personalities. The Role We're hiring our first dedicated IT Systems Administrator — someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and wants to build IT operations from the ground up. You'll own the full employee lifecycle from a systems perspective: onboarding, identity management, access provisioning, in-office infrastructure, and everything in between. We've grown from ~15 to 50 employees in the past year, and the right person will bring structure and scalability to our IT operations while keeping the speed and flexibility that got us here.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a similar hands-on IT role
  • Strong working knowledge of identity providers (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace, Rippling) and SSO protocols (SAML, OIDC)
  • Experience with MDM platforms and device lifecycle management across macOS and/or Windows
  • Familiarity with access control principles and GRC frameworks — you don't need to be a compliance expert, but you should understand why access reviews matter
  • Comfort working with physical office infrastructure: networking gear, AV systems, badge/access control systems
  • A bias toward action and ownership — you'll be the first person in this role, and we need someone who sees gaps and fills them without waiting to be asked

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a high-growth startup, especially as an early or sole IT hire
  • Scripting ability and technical know-how for automation
  • Experience supporting international employees and contractors across multiple time zones and jurisdictions

Responsibilities

  • Own employee onboarding and offboarding end-to-end — device ordering, configuration, device management, account provisioning and deprovisioning, and access management aligned with our compliance requirements
  • Manage corporate identity and access — administer our identity provider and SSO platform, maintain consistent corporate identities across all employees, and drive SSO adoption across the company's application portfolio
  • Run in-office IT — serve as the primary point of contact for all office technology, including networking, security/badge systems, Zoom rooms, and presentation setups
  • Provision new offices — we're rapidly expanding our team, and that means the potential for new offices
  • Partner cross-functionally — work closely with Engineering, Security, Go-to-Market, and Operations teams to support access provisioning, international employee and contractor onboarding, and compliance initiatives
  • Build for scale — develop repeatable processes, documentation, and automation to support a company that's growing quickly and plans to keep doing so

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and equity
  • 20 days paid time off every year
  • 401k or RRSP
  • $420/mo. wellness stipend
  • 100% coverage for Health, dental, vision
  • Free Ubers to and from work
  • Free lunch and dinners
  • Annual team offsite (previously went to Alaska, Hawaii)
