About The Position

The IT System Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of the organization’s technology infrastructure. This role ensures the reliable operation of hardware, software, networks, servers, cloud services, and business applications that support a 24/7 manufacturing environment. The position also provides technical support, manages user access, assists with cybersecurity initiatives, and helps drive technology modernization across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive IT administration and support experience.
  • Experience supporting technology in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and endpoint management.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting and administering Microsoft Business Central.
  • Experience with firewalls, wireless networking, backup solutions, and virtualization technologies.
  • Ability to effectively support users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support enterprise hardware, software, servers, network equipment, wireless infrastructure, and security appliances.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Windows Server environments and related infrastructure services.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability to ensure optimal operation of business-critical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance, patch management, and system updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure issues.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft 365 services and associated administration tools.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices to protect company systems, data, and networks.
  • Perform ongoing security monitoring and assist with incident response activities.
  • Manage user access and permissions within Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Business Central, and physical access control systems.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
  • Assist with cybersecurity awareness, compliance initiatives, and organizational security standards.
  • Support Microsoft Business Central, Insight Works Warehouse Insight, Insight Works Shop floor Insight, Cosmos reporting and related business applications.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify technology solutions that improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist with system upgrades, integrations, testing, and implementation projects.
  • Support and promote responsible company AI and automation initiatives.
  • Provide technical support for employees across multiple locations.
  • Assist users with hardware, software, network, and business application issues.
  • Work collaboratively with employees at all levels to ensure effective use of technology resources.
  • Participate in after-hours support as required to maintain critical business operations.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between the company and external technology vendors.
  • Assist in the administration and support of the organization’s 3CX or MS Teams VoIP phone system.
  • Coordinate vendor activities related to infrastructure, software, and technology services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, security, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist the IT Director in developing and implementing technology strategies that support business objectives.
  • Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system inventories.
