This position is open to Alaska Residents only. Join OIT as a Jr/Sr Full Stack Application Developer and help design and support the systems that power essential statewide services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to follow a directed training plan to independently lead and mentor on full-stack development and enterprise infrastructure projects. You will work closely with customers and project stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify business needs, and translate them into technical specifications. You will perform system analysis, evaluating existing architectures and recommending improvements for scalability, maintainability, security, and performance. You will design and document application architectures, including service interfaces, data flows, and integration patterns across complex enterprise environments. You will apply database design principles to model, structure, and optimize data used by critical applications and backend systems. You will convert technical designs into code, tests, documentation, deployment artifacts, and fully functional components across the stack. You will build and maintain development, test, and production environments, ensuring smooth promotion of software and adherence to state standards. If you thrive in requirements discovery, architecture planning, and hands-on development across the full stack—and you enjoy solving complex challenges in enterprise systems—we’d like to meet you.
