About The Position

Sea to Sky is a leading Managed Service Provider based in Vancouver, working with a diverse range of businesses, municipalities, and communities across British Columbia. We are a small, dedicated team focused on providing excellent IT Support. We are currently seeking a motivated Managed Services Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their IT career and gain broad exposure to various tasks and projects.

Requirements

  • BCIT diploma or degree in Computing & Information Technology (TSP, NAT), or equivalent Industry Certifications & Work Experience.
  • Exceptional Desktop Support and Troubleshooting skills - Windows OS.
  • Understanding of basic Networking and Remote Access concepts (WAN/LAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc).
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365 Admin Centre.
  • Exceptional Customer Service and Communication Skills (Written and Verbal).
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and maintaining clear documentation.
  • Clean driving record and valid Class 5 BC driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hosted phone systems (e.g., Ring Central).
  • Strong firewall and network security knowledge.
  • Virtualization experience.
  • Windows Server troubleshooting experience.
  • RMM/PSA experience.
  • Proficiency with Active Directory, Azure AD Connect and Group Policy.
  • Experience with switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VLAN configuration.
  • Microsoft Certifications (e.g., MS900).
  • Other Industry Certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA).

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line technical support to customers via phone, email, and chat.
  • Receive and triage support tickets.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Diagnose, research, and resolve Tier 1 technical issues, including desktop hardware/software, networking, and AD/M365 administration.
  • Travel to client sites for on-site support as needed.
  • Participate in a compensated on-call rotation after probation.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to resolve issues and assist with projects.
