About The Position

Cumberland Christian School, a comprehensive Christian educational institution for students from preschool through to high school, is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Technician to join our team. Requirements

• Proven experience in an IT support role or a similar technical position.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• A patient, professional, and customer-focused approach to support.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-line technical support for all hardware, software, and network-related issues for our faculty, staff, and students.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and other essential classroom technology.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner, minimising disruption to educational activities.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to network resources and school-wide systems.
• Assist in the maintenance and management of the school's network infrastructure, including servers and wireless networks.
• Maintain a detailed inventory of all IT equipment and software licences.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance the learning experience.
• Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures and user guides.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the school's data and IT systems.
