ID Fusion is looking to hire a First Nation, Inuit or Métis post-secondary student to join our team as an IT Support Technician Intern. Requirements

  • First Nation, Inuit or Métis post-secondary student
  • Attended post-secondary school full-time during the current academic year
  • Returning to school on a full-time basis in the upcoming academic year

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Asking targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem to diagnose and troubleshoot network, software and hardware issues
  • Walking the customer through the problem-solving process either via phone, email, chat, remote desktop applications or on-site as required
  • Recording events and problems and their resolution in logs
  • Following up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Passing on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
  • Properly escalating unresolved issues to appropriate internal delivery teams
  • Documenting technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Identifying and suggesting possible improvements on procedures
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
  • Assess current state of ID Fusion and client systems and provide recommendations for new/replacement systems
  • Test and evaluate new technology
