This position requires occasional travel to nearby clinic locations (Crystal, Osseo, Maple Grove, and Plymouth), with the potential to work in a hybrid capacity after training.  The IT Support Specialist is the first responder for all employee technology concerns and provides technical support to end users , including hardware and software troubleshooting. The work schedule is 40 hours a week but occasional weekend, and/or after-hours work may be needed. Participation in an on-call rotation is required. Hourly Range: $26.00 - $30.00, based on years of relevant experience

Requirements

  • One year or more of experience in end-user technology support environment preferred
  • Associate degree or technical school degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience 
  • Self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow through on IT support requests and projects 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt and learn new skills

Responsibilities

  • Respond to IT support requests in accordance with IT procedures
  • IT support requests may be received via phone, ticketing system, or in person
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Use available IT resources to assist end users
  • Provide resources and guidance to users as appropriate
  • Escalate issues requiring urgent attention when necessary
  • Log all IT support requests and resolutions in the IT ticketing system
  • Hardware support may include but is not limited to:
  • Laptop and desktop computers
  • Printers, copiers, and fax
  • Desktop scanners
  • Peripheral equipment (headsets, mice, keyboards, monitors)
  • Label printers
  • Phones
  • Update computers and user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory
  • Provide Microsoft Office support
  • Assist with IT set-up for new employees 
  • Maintain ongoing inventory and tracking of hardware, software, and consumables
  • Image laptops and desktop computers
  • Stay current with system information, changes, and updates
  • Perform projects and other duties as assigned
