About The Position

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support to end-users within the organization. This role involves diagnosing and resolving IT issues, managing hardware and software configurations, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and related equipment. The IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Requirements

  • The position is remote and requires an appropriate workspace to complete daily tasks and participate in video conferencing.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science, or equivalent work experience with successful completion from an IT Certification Program.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via in-person, phone, email, or remote assistance.
  • Resolve hardware and software issues, including operating system and application problems.
  • Assist end-users with hardware and software installations, updates, and configurations.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist with equipment procurement and asset management, ensuring an up-to-date inventory.
  • Receive and ship equipment as needed to end-users.
  • Enroll user devices to Microsoft Intune, apply company compliance policy, and enforce it.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications on end-user devices.
  • Troubleshoot software-related issues and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of the Azure Network of the Organization.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and ensure network security.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect data and systems.
  • Educate end-users on best practices for data security and password management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for IT procedures, configurations, and issue resolution.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on how to use IT equipment and software effectively.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to address complex IT issues and assist in IT projects as required.
  • Maintain relationships with colleagues rooted in safety, connection, and self-regulation.
  • Interact with external vendors to coordinate hardware and software procurement and resolve issues.
  • This role may require occasional evening or weekend work to support system maintenance or upgrades.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor.
