About The Position

The IT Support Specialist at DataStealth is responsible for delivering exceptional technical support to our internal team while also adhering to security best practices. You will work closely with employees and clients to resolve IT issues, and maintain the overall health of their IT infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of MacOS, as well as common software applications.
  • Past experience with JAMF or general experience with Apple Device Management is a must.
  • Familiarity with network configurations, security practices, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to commute and work in our Mississauga office 5 days/week.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), Apple Device Support (ADS), CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare (e.g., Zero Trust/Access, WAF, DNS, and SSL/TLS) to support secure connectivity and troubleshoot related access issues is an asset.
  • Start-up experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial IT onboarding of new employees, provisioning IT assets and subscriptions.
  • Provide technical support to employees via phone, email, online or in-person, addressing IT issues, troubleshooting, and resolving problems.
  • Assist employees with software and hardware installations, configurations, and upgrades.
  • Ensure that endpoints (computers, laptops, mobile devices) are properly configured and secure with up-to-date antivirus and anti-malware solutions.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in the setup
  • Implement and manage software updates and security patches to protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Create and maintain policy & procedure documentation for general employee use, or for other IT administrators
  • Maintain records of employee issues, resolutions, and configurations.
  • Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices, password management, and data protection.
  • Collaborate with the compliance and cybersecurity teams to ensure IT systems align with security policies and procedures.
