About The Position

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for day-to-day technical support in our Batesville, AR and Pocahontas, AR facilities. The role can be based in either of these locations. This role provides first level of support for IT Services including software, hardware, printers, etc. at local facility. The specialist will create and maintain documentation on systems and create install and setup instructions for IT Support Technicians. The role also involves ordering IT equipment for new and existing users and traveling to other sites as needed to help with new installs and systems conversions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of IT support or help desk experience
  • A+ Certifications and training preferred
  • Team-oriented mindset with an openness to constructive feedback
  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure successfully
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet applicable deadlines
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across the Peco organization
  • Ability to work after hours and on weekends when needed, and on call for emergency issues.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds at a time
  • Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft platforms to include Office 2016 (all levels, Home & Business, Professional) to current version, and Windows Operating Systems
  • Ability to replace computer parts to include: disk drives, DVD/CD drives, power supplies, monitors, maintenance kits for printers, phone sets.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first level of support for IT Services including software, hardware, printers, etc. at local facility.
  • Create and maintain documentation on systems.
  • Create install and setup instructions for IT Support Technicians.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, technical assistance, guidance and training to all internal customers and identified external consultants and contractors by resolving IT related issues in person, via telephone or remotely.
  • Order IT equipment for new and existing users.
  • Travel to other sites as needed to help with new installs and systems conversions.
