About The Position

The IT Support Specialist maintains the IT infrastructure within the headquarters facility. The role ensures that technology in our meeting and event rooms delivers a positive, consistent experience for our employees and visitors. This customer service-oriented role is critical to supporting efficient, technology-enabled internal meetings for our employees along with delivering a best-in-class event experience for our clients and community partners. This individual with provide face-to-face support services to HQ employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years' experience working with audio / video / communications technologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, ZOOM

Nice To Haves

  • Multiple years of experience in the field of audio/video/communication technologies
  • Experience with both Mac and Windows operating systems
  • Advanced experience in Audio/Video cabling and computer networking
  • Experience with operation of video cameras, sound board, video editing software
  • Formal education and/or certifications in: Audio recording and video production, broadcast and electronic communication arts, or multimedia production.
  • Event & Customer Service Experience with C-Suite.
  • Experience with an Electronic Visitor Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots technical issues and responds to AV Service Desk tickets, resolving problems as they arise.
  • Accountable for maintaining regular service & maintenance of all conference room equipment, either independently or through third party vendors.
  • Maintains conference room updates and ensures all hardware and software are on the same versions. Collaborates with NAIT network and infrastructure teams as needed.
  • Ensures proper security and storage of equipment.
  • Provides superior customer service to employees, clients & visitors who utilize AV equipment.
  • Researches new technology and makes recommendations to leadership.
  • Meets with internal stakeholders to understand room needs prior to meetings / events, to ensure the event does not encounter foreseeable technical issues.
  • Develops, documents and hosts periodic training for employees on AV equipment and web/video conferencing applications.
  • Prepares meeting rooms for events and video conference sessions.
  • Acts as HQ point of contact for IT support.
  • Troubleshoots technology issues with visitor management system, AV equipment, and other HQ technology.
  • Provides walk-up IT services for HQ employees and visitors.
  • Assists with desk-side IT support at HQ as necessary.
  • Administrator of Electronic Visitor Management System.
  • Other accountabilities as assigned
