About The Position

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team. You will deliver comprehensive IT customer support by deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise hardware and software systems while ensuring strict adherence to cybersecurity policies. Additionally, you will drive continuous IT improvement by analyzing user requirements, identifying problem trends, developing tailored user training, and potentially supporting specialized enterprise applications such as DLA’s eProcurement platforms. This position is in Columbus, OH.

Requirements

  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT II or IAT III
  • A minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, three (3) years of which are specialized in Information Processing and involve a range of hardware/software solutions, two years (2) of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, diagnosing problems, and training customers in the use of software and hardware.
  • Computing Environment: Server Admin M and Domain Admin Z (Cloud or Microsoft Operating System per DLA Approved CE)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must possess a current Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues in response to customer-reported incidents.
  • Executing the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of IT assets.
  • Providing comprehensive user assistance and Help Desk support services.
  • Consulting directly with end-users to identify technology needs and define system requirements.
  • Conducting feasibility studies, performing trade-off analyses, and preparing formal business cases for IT solutions.
  • Planning and analyzing work processes to optimize IT service delivery.
  • Researching and reporting on historical problem trends and system anomaly patterns to drive proactive improvements.
  • Developing comprehensive instructional guides and training materials.
  • Facilitating computing and information system training sessions to enhance end-user proficiency and reduce support volumes.
  • Developing and maintaining IT problem-tracking databases to ensure accurate incident lifecycle management.
  • Performing critical system backup and disaster recovery operations to ensure data integrity and system availability.
  • Ensuring the rigorous, continuous application of established information security and cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices across all support activities.
  • Delivering targeted functional and technical support for specific enterprise environments, including the Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) eProcurement system(s).
