About The Position

The IT Support Specialist provides IT support and assists with core systems administration within a manufacturing and office environment. This role supports end users, manages day to day IT operations, assists with ERP administration, and coordinates with external service providers. The position is highly user facing and operational in nature, with the opportunity to grow into broader systems administration responsibilities over time.

Requirements

  • Able to read, write and speak English fluently. Must be able to understand and communicate clearly to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work directly with manufacturing, operations, and office staff
  • Project Management.
  • ERP experience.
  • Active Directory and domain environments
  • Microsoft 365 / Office 365 experience
  • VoIP, networking, and backup solutions
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a computer field.
  • Five or more years of IT work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior IT support experience in a manufacturing setting, including support for shop floor and operations users, preferred
  • Microsoft SQL experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, and provide daily technical support for hardware, software, email, and connectivity issues
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding by creating, modifying, and disabling user accounts
  • Assist with administration of Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments, including routine system checks, updates, and basic security monitoring
  • Support backups, patching, and disaster recovery processes
  • Provide day-to-day user support and administration for the ERP system (Macola), including managing user access, troubleshooting issues, and supporting reporting needs
  • Partner with operations and management to support and improve business workflows and system usage
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for managed service providers, including submitting, tracking, and escalating support tickets as needed
  • Assist with IT projects and initiatives to gradually bring additional responsibilities in house
  • Work closely with cross functional departments and management to support, optimize, and improve business workflows and system usage
