The IT Support Specialist supervises all aspects of IT operations at facility including performing installations, upgrades, maintenance on network infrastructure including switches and servers. Troubleshoots hardware, software and network problems, performs systems administration, maintains network documentation and support requests log. Supports critical business systems, assembles and documents IT inventory and ensures customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Develops, interprets and recommends implementation of policies, procedures, regulations, programs and recommended practices to ensure requirements are met. 10. Supervisory duties 1. Responds to and resolves user IT support requests. Maintains log of requests for tracking purposes. 2. Monitor server systems and core applications and remediate issues as they arise. 3. Onboard/Offboard new and departing Users, including badge access. 4. Add/remove active directory users/groups. 5. Set up and validate security permissions to ensure data security policies are properly enforced. 6. Set up and validate group policy on domain for security and function as needed. 7. Keep servers/workstations/software up to date with security and application patches. 8. Install new hardware/software in a timely manner as needs arise. Installation includes all network infrastructure components such as PCs, servers, network routers, switches and back up systems. 9. Manage email system and address related support requests. 10. Manage Data/Server backups. 11. Validate Backup Sets and monitor backup function/success. 12. Test/Validate restore and Disaster Recovery Plan. 13. Audit of local and domain user accounts/group memberships/ security permissions. 14. Manage/maintain/audit firewall protecting WAN connections. 15. Management of wired and wireless internal networks. 16. Manage/maintain/audit external connectivity such as VPNs and remote access. 17. Manage/update/monitor Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware security software. 18. Manage/update Hardware/Software inventory. 19. Create and update network documentation, including hardware/software inventory, vendor information, licenses and service agreements. 20. Assist in technology budgeting and planning. 21. Assist in risk assessments. 22. Check and respond to emails in a timely and efficient manner RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Must be open and energetic on learning new skills and mastering new systems. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, physicians and vendors. 2. Experience with Windows 7/8.1/10/Vista/XP, Windows Server 2003/2008R2/2012/2012R2/2016. 3. Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, Hyper-V, IIS and Remote Desktop Services experience. 4. Ability to address problems continuously and work through to resolution. 5. Ability to work nights, weekends or at customer site is required.
