Compensation is based on your unique qualifications and experience. Job Summary Under the direction of the Network Administrator, the IT Support Specialist 2 is responsible for supporting all teams by managing and resolving technical issues reported by users. By providing users with information, guidance and instructions for using devices and installed software, the IT Support Specialist Tier 2 enhances efficiency and user experience across all departments.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT support position
  • A+ Certification Required
  • Proficiency with Apple and Android OS and devices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to interact with co-workers, clients, and their staff in a respectful and courteous manner
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work in an indoor office environment and an active outdoor construction site environment
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment
  • Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and be exposed to dirt or dust
  • Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment most of the day
  • Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally
  • Must be able to work for long periods of time in front of a computer or while standing.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots tickets escalated from Tier 1 support and escalates when necessary
  • Acts as an escalation point for higher-level support functions before proceeding higher
  • Facilitates onboarding and offboarding of staff by coordinating required devices and software
  • Validates data for all user information within Active Directory
  • Validates licensing of all users and service accounts
  • Assists the IT Manager with inventory management of user devices
  • Assists IT teams with creating documentation and set up equipment as directed
  • Participates in solution testing and documentation
  • Manages the implementation of user support projects
  • Coordinates company website updates
