IT Support Specialist II - Dayton, OH
About The Position
CFD Research is seeking an IT Support Specialist II to provide courteous and professional support to users and internal stakeholders. This role involves coordinating the setup of computing resources, installation of required software, and mentoring other team members. The specialist will ensure efficient, timely, and effective responses to internal user requests for support and troubleshooting, adhering to internal operating procedures. The position is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user/multi-platform computer systems for both desktop and server environments, including monitoring and managing system resources such as CPU usage, disk usage, and response times.
Requirements
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Position requires at least a Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience (or 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree) in PC Support and/or Help Desk environment
- Knowledge of Window operating systems, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365 Suite, Window Domain architecture, Information Technology, Firewalls, and effective knowledge of both wired and wireless Local Area Network technologies.
Nice To Haves
- Linux experience is a plus
- Experience in implementation and maintenance of CMMC guidelines strongly preferred
- Experience with basic support of Linux in a production environment a plus
- Experience in a small business environment is a plus
