About The Position

We’re looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused IT Support Representative to join the Information Technology Department. If you’re passionate about problem-solving, continuous learning, and providing prompt, courteous support to staff, we want to hear from you! Reporting within the Information Technology Department, the successful candidate will provide prompt and courteous technical assistance and support to staff across all OCS sites. This includes deploying computers and resolving break/fix issues, configuring printers and managing network resources, and supporting networks, switches, and routers as well as Windows workstations and servers. The role also involves network structured cabling installation, local administration, and frequent travel between sites to keep technology running smoothly and reliably. Flexibility to work various hours is required, including evenings, weekends, and after-hours support in the event of emergencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of network administration or technical support experience.
  • Post-secondary education or training in an IT-related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office products (Office 2021 or newer).
  • Hands-on experience with LTSC and local administration.
  • Hands-on experience with networks, switches and routers.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows workstations and servers.
  • Hands-on experience with printer configuration and network management.
  • Hands-on experience with network structured cabling installation.
  • Hands-on experience with deploying computers and resolving break/fix issues.
  • Use of a reliable vehicle.
  • Pass a Criminal Record Check.

  • Network structured cabling installation experience.
  • A+ Certification.
  • MCITP: Enterprise Administrator / Windows Server 2016 (or above) certification.
  • MCSA/MCSE certification with relevant experience.
  • Microsoft 365 certification.
  • Azure Administrator certification.

  • Azure Hybrid certification.
  • SonicWall router experience.
  • Familiarity with NetApp SAN.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP).

  • Familiarity with Remote Desktop Services (Citrix, LogMeIn).
  • Familiarity with SonicWall and Fortinet.
  • Familiarity with private networks (MPLS/VPLS).
  • Familiarity with virtual private networks (VPN).
  • Familiarity with VoIP and QoS.
  • Familiarity with NEC VoIP/UC systems.
  • Familiarity with VMware.
  • Familiarity with ShareFile.
  • Familiarity with Citrix.
