About The Position

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world. The Amazon Leo IT Services team is looking to hire a skilled IT Support Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support for our infrastructure, warehousing operations, production environments, and laboratory facilities. This role is crucial in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring reliable technology systems across our organization. This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 2+ years of technical support experience
• 2+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience
• U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment
• CCENT or equivalent level networking certification, or Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

• Process tickets via approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) to triage and resolve customer issues.
• Provision, Deploy, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and maxOS workstations
• Provision, Deploy, and troubleshoot bare-metal windows and Linux servers
• Configure, Deploy, and Replace network infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls
• Participate in hiring, training and development of others
• Provide technical support for Amazon Leo Production, lab and launch Infrastructure, components, and associated software
• Provide remote support for Amazon Leo employees and infrastructure worldwide
• Perform scheduled maintenance and system upgrades
• Assist with project implementations and technology deployments
• Drives engineering best practices (e.g., Operational Excellence, Security, Quality, etc.) and set standards.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities
