About The Position

The IT Coordinator is a hands-on technical role dedicated to implementing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise applications and systems. This team member takes active ownership of identity access management, hardware lifecycle deployment, and SaaS automation tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy smart, scalable solutions that maximize employee productivity and keep our digital workspace running seamlessly.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Technical degree related to Information Technology and two (2) years of experience installing, troubleshooting and maintaining computers and software in an Enterprise environment; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Regular exertion of up to 10 pounds of force, frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 100 pounds of force.
  • Regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands, reaching with hands and arms and repetitive motions; frequently requires pushing or pulling; occasionally requires standing, walking, climbing or balancing, kneeling or crawling and tasting or smelling.
  • Requires close vision, ability to adjust focus, depth perception, color perception and peripheral vision; vocal communication is required for conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to receive detailed information through oral communication and/or to make fine distinctions in sound.
  • Requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, assembly or fabrication of parts within arms length, operating machinery, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities.
  • Must maintain all required licenses and certificates in active status without suspension or revocation.
  • Must successfully complete background/screening.
  • Must complete Section 1 of the Form I-9 along with the required proof of their right to work in the United States and proof of their identity prior to starting employment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs intermediate work performing technical and paraprofessional level duties in one or more assigned information technology areas, including troubleshooting technology problems, managing user accounts, performing maintenance and updates, serving as a liaison between users and professional level support teams, escalating complex issues; and deploying solutions; performing related tasks as apparent or assigned.
  • Provides technical support and assistance to County employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, systems, and network issues; resolving them in a timely manner
  • Creates, updates, and manages user accounts and permissions within County systems to ensure secure access for employees.
  • Assists with the deployment of County-approved solution packages across various devices and systems to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Ensures that County devices meet security standards by applying updates, security patches, and monitoring compliance with County IT policies.
  • Maintains detailed records of support requests, resolutions and system changes.
  • Documents procedures and provides feedback for continuous improvement of IT support services.
  • Pulls and terminates network cables, punches cables into patch panels, ensuring proper alignment and strong connections.
  • Tests installations with cable testers to verify performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using diagnostic tools.
  • Educates County employees on the use of software, equipment, and best practices, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Tracks and manages County technology assets, ensuring accurate inventory records and the proper allocation of resources.
  • Safely decommissions outdated or damaged equipment by wiping data, removing County software, and ensuring proper disposal or recycling in accordance with County policies and regulations.
  • Represents the County with dignity, integrity, and a spirit of cooperation in all relationships with staff and the public.
  • Contributes effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activities.
