About The Position

We’re looking for an IT Support Intern to join our team in Oakville and gain hands-on experience supporting our employees and day-to-day IT operations. This is a great opportunity for a college or university student who has a foundation in IT and wants to build practical experience in a real-world business environment. While this is an entry-level role, we’re looking for someone who can jump in, learn quickly and take ownership of routine IT support needs.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an IT, Computer Systems, Networking, Information Technology or related post-secondary program
• Some foundational knowledge of IT support and troubleshooting
• Comfortable working with computers, hardware, software and common business applications
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Customer-focused and patient when supporting users with varying levels of technical knowledge
• Organized, dependable and able to manage multiple requests
• Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask for help

Nice To Haves

• Previous IT, help desk, co-op or technical experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Set up computers, equipment and user accounts for new hires
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities
• Provide basic technical support for password resets, access issues, hardware and common software troubleshooting
• Assist with IT equipment and inventory management
• Prepare and configure laptops, monitors, phones and other technology
• Help maintain accurate IT records and documentation
• Troubleshoot routine issues and escalate more complex technical problems when needed
• Support other IT projects and initiatives as opportunities arise
