About The Position
The IT Student Worker will learn and be responsible for key tasks related to the hardware our IT Department is responsible for and will get daily direction from the Senior Database Administrator. Under this direction of the VP of Finance and Administration and the Senior Database Administrator this individual will take on tasks and projects to keep our IT department moving forward.
Requirements
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in business, with a preference for major in Information Systems
- Starting Sophomore level in above degree pursuit.
- Demonstrated communication skills.
- Effective Communication: Effectively transfers thoughts and expresses ideas both verbally and written in individual and group situations
- Execution & Initiative: Knowledge of IT processes and software to deliver best outcomes and results, displaying energy, drive and a desire to succeed; enlists the support of others as necessary to overcome resistance
- Problem Solving & Judgement: Considers consequences and generates alternative solutions to overcome obstacles
- Hardware Knowledge: Be able to trouble shoot users issues and get problems resolved on both laptop and desk top machines as well as help with software updates or glitches to get end users up and running.
Responsibilities
- Handling hardware and software issues for our users.
- Assist both full time IT individuals with tasks assigned to allow work to flow efficiently.
- Communicate within the chain of command how things are moving forward and what issues may be upcoming.
