About The Position

Provide technical support and maintain IT systems across grocery store operations, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management, back-office operations, and employee technology. Ensure minimal downtime to support seamless customer service and business operations. Responsible for supporting Fiesta Mart stores in Houston, Austin, and DFW areas. This is a corporate position providing support to stores across the Dallas area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of IT support experience
  • Help desk or customer service experience

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Technical certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+) a plus
  • Retail or grocery industry experience preferred
  • Experience with POS systems strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain POS terminals, cash registers, and self-checkout systems
  • Support barcode scanners, receipt printers, and payment processing equipment
  • Resolve transaction and payment terminal issues
  • Configure new registers and perform system updates
  • Coordinate with POS vendor for escalated issues
  • Support electronic shelf labels and price management systems
  • Maintain shelf tag system
  • Support handheld scanning devices for inventory and price checks
  • Troubleshoot weigh scales
  • Support inventory management system
  • Maintain time clocks
  • Support office computers, printers, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot email and communication systems
  • Maintain store network connectivity (Wi-Fi, ethernet)
  • Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems
  • Support phone systems and intercoms
  • Troubleshoot internet connectivity issues
  • Manage network security and access controls
  • Provide help desk support for store employees and management
  • Create and manage user accounts and permissions
  • Document and track support tickets
  • Provide after-hours emergency support as needed
  • Coordinate with other IT teams for escalated issues
  • Perform equipment setup, maintenance, and repairs
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs and replacements
  • Assist with new store openings or remodels
  • Handle repair or disposal of non-functional equipment
  • Ensure PCI compliance for payment systems
  • Maintain data security and privacy standards
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts
  • Support loss prevention technology
  • Assist with technology rollouts and upgrades
  • Support integration of new systems
  • Document processes and create user guides
