About The Position

Patriot At Home is seeking an IT Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support to staff across hospice, home care, and outpatient operations. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system issues for various devices, managing user accounts, installing and maintaining computer systems, and supporting electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems. The IT Specialist will also assist with network connectivity, security protocols, technology deployment for new hires, and documentation of IT procedures. Occasional travel may be required. The position is primarily desk-based but can be stressful due to deadlines.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of IT support or systems administration experience preferred
  • Must have criminal background check
  • Must be willing to travel

  • Experience supporting healthcare environments, EMR systems, or HIPAA compliance is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to staff across hospice, home care, and outpatient operations.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
  • Respond to help desk tickets and prioritize issues based on urgency and impact.
  • Assist with management of user accounts, permissions, and access across company systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, mobile devices, and related peripherals.
  • Maintain software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
  • Support electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems used across service lines.
  • Assist staff with system navigation, troubleshooting, and basic training.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal leadership for system improvements and issue resolution.
  • Monitor and maintain network connectivity across offices and remote users.
  • Assist with Wi-Fi, VPN access, and secure remote connections for field staff.
  • Support backup systems and basic infrastructure maintenance.
  • Assist in maintaining HIPAA-compliant IT practices and data security protocols.
  • Support device encryption, antivirus, and endpoint security measures.
  • Implement and enforce company cybersecurity policies.
  • Prepare and deploy technology for new hires, including device setup and access provisioning.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding technology processes.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Document technical procedures and troubleshooting steps.
  • Assist in developing IT policies and workflows that improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems and reduce recurring issues.
  • Occasional travel if needed.
  • All other duties assigned.
