We currently seek a full-time IT Specialist to join our IT Department. The IT Specialist will act as the frontline support for the IT department at all Osborne locations. The specialist will provide technical support services to staff, and ensure users can access and use Osborne’s technological resources throughout the workday. The position will report on-site out of our Brooklyn office.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years or more customer service experience and at least two years of experience supporting a windows desktop environment
  • Experience in LAN/WAN environments
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
  • Ability to maintain a high-level of user trust and confidence
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, strong attention to detail, and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to travel locally between Osborne offices as needed

Responsibilities

  • Maintain office technology systems by keeping all workstations and programs operational, while utilizing Zendesk to log and track all technological issues.
  • Troubleshoot systems or determine the cause of problems to provide prompt communication and resolution to all hardware and software related issues.
  • Configure endpoint computers to connect to the LAN/WAN
  • Create and maintain network credentials as well as profiles for all employees
  • Install new applications and provide instruction to staff, to support users on updated software to enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Provide general training and one-on-one support to employees to assist them in improving their computer knowledge and skill proficiency.
  • Communicate and coordinate network maintenance schedules and downtime to users.
  • Liaise between outside application vendors and users relating to application configuration, setup and support.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and hardware/software vendors to assist in negotiation for service or product contracts.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations as well as cabling layouts.
  • Maintain company inventory of all computer equipment in Kaseya.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed for all mobile devices and computer equipment
  • Assist with various low-voltage cabling and technology related construction tasks.
  • Attend required and assigned trainings
  • Ability to travel locally using company vehicles. Must have a driver’s license with a good driving history.
  • In-person attendance is required to collaborate with co-workers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
