About The Position
Semper Valens Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Specialist to support our organization in the Ft. Belvoir, VA area. This position is contingent upon government approval and requires a Secret clearance. The role involves supporting government computer systems, troubleshooting end-user requests, and assisting with technology solutions. Responsibilities vary based on the level (Level II or Level III), with Level III requiring more independent judgment and involvement in strategic IT planning, including cloud instance management, backup and disaster recovery, and cybersecurity.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Secret Clearance required.
- Level II: BS degree and 5 years of experience.
- Level III: BS degree and 10 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain government computer systems.
- Troubleshoot, track, and resolve end-user support requests.
- Assist with the delivery of technology solutions.
- Comply with Federal regulations, policies, codes, and security and safety standards.
- Provide assistance related to technical design, construction, and technology solutions.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents for review and approval.
- Assist with strategic IT planning and work with departments on IT related projects and systems (Level III).
- Support backup and disaster recovery, cyber security, monitoring, auditing, and compliance (Level III).
- Provide verification of operational status of government computer systems and related third party interfaces (Level III).
- Support and manage cloud instances by utilizing elastic cloud computing for resourcing needs (Level III).
