About The Position

Creative Business Innovations is seeking a skilled and dependable 2nd Shift IT Specialist to support our client, a respected Tier One Honda supplier located in Talladega, AL. Provides software and network support, using system analysis techniques, training, and troubleshooting in a networked microcomputer environment. Provides support on a wide range of applications including Microsoft products.

Requirements

  • General IT knowledge
  • A+ certification
  • Net + Certification
  • General knowledge of standard IT equipment
  • Microsoft Office
  • Safety apparel (PPE) and uniform mandatory
  • Must be able to continuously lift 30 to 75 lbs. and occasionally carry a distance of 30 to 50 feet
  • Tasks that require continuous reaching, kneeling, grasping, twisting, bending, leaning and extension of upper body
  • Perform job requirements of a Production Associate as needed
  • Work daily assigned shift to include overtime, up to and including production Saturdays, shutdown days, and holidays as needed
  • Follow all company policies including IS0 9001 2008/ISO 14000 and QOS adherence (where applicable) and MAI Companies' (GLA, GSA, IA) Associate Handbook and Safety Manual

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL or other modern databases is a plus
  • Servier Administration (MS Server 2008.2016,2019, Linux Red Hat)
  • Office 365 Tenant Administration
  • Experience with Cloud computing & adminstration
  • Database administration (SQL,MySQL,Oracle)
  • Programming Experience (Python, C++, Java, C#)
  • Certifications prefered but not necessary: CCNA, CCNT, CISSP, A+, NET+, RHCE, Azure Fundamentals, Linux +

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary Windows support plant side during 2nd shift operating hours
  • Answers incoming helpdesk calls regarding IT issues
  • Serves as the primary support in troubleshooting hardware issues with desktop PC's, servers, printers, etc.
  • Troubleshoots software issues with Windows and custom applications
  • Coordinates software updates on servers and production PC's during non-production hours
  • Works with vendors and/or other application support to support production needs
  • Documents all support work in the helpdesk ticketing system
  • Successful and timely completion of project-related tasks are expected
  • Will serve as on-call as needed. This will include Saturday production days
  • Participates and supports activities within the plant to include 5S, Kaizen, Quick Hits, Six Sigma, and other related continuous improvement events
  • Must adhere to all safety (PPE) and uniform policies
  • Must have the ability to follow all company policies including ISO 9001 2008/ISO 1400 and QOS adherence (where applicable) and MAI Companies' (GLA, GLA, IS) Associate handbook and safety manuals
  • Will perform other duties as assigned
