About The Position

This is an on-site position located at our Sparks, Nevada facility. The IT Specialist will be responsible for installing and maintaining PC and networking equipment, managing printer maintenance, ensuring adequate supplies and spare equipment, and planning network cabling. They will also handle daily server backup routines, troubleshoot and maintain telecommunication devices, manage the automated print/apply labeling system and scanners, support building security systems, and assist with company-sponsored special events.   • Replacing and maintaining scanners and photo-eyes
  • Reporting programming issues
  • Assisting with conveyor systems
  • Troubleshooting system related issues
  • Maintaining and supporting building security systems
  • Maintaining cameras, system settings, DVRs, and users
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading personnel badge system
  • Supporting special events

Responsibilities

  • Installing and maintaining all PC and networking equipment.
  • Scheduling and validating preventative maintenance for printers.
  • Maintaining supplies and spare equipment for PC, printer, and networking equipment.
  • Planning and installing network cabling when required.
  • Performing daily backup routines for all company-owned servers.
  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing all communication devices and software (telephones, fax machines, wiring, paging system).
  • Ordering and replacing damaged phones and issuing updated local phone number listings.
  • Maintaining the automated print/apply labeling system.
  • Replacing and maintaining Accu-Sort scanners and photo-eyes.
  • Reporting programming issues with conveyor systems.
  • Assisting facilities personnel with conveyor divert timing.
  • Troubleshooting Box or Sort system related issues.
  • Maintaining and supporting both on-site and off-site building security systems.
  • Maintaining cameras, system settings, DVRs, and users.
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading the Secure Perfect personnel badge system.
  • Supporting all company-sponsored on-site and off-site special events.
