About The Position

The IT Specialist will act as the point-of-contact for vendor and Albertsons’ Technical Teams for the installation, configuration, routine maintenance, and ongoing usability of desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, applications, and related technology used at the site within established guidelines. This role involves identifying and researching technical problems of varying complexity and following through to resolution, ensuring systems interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems, including servers and peripherals. The specialist will maintain appropriate hardware/software inventories and warranties, manage vendor maintenance visits, and collaborate closely with Production Maintenance Technicians to ensure an optimal/efficient technical environment. Accurate logging and documentation of all issues and work efforts, as well as assisting with the creation and maintenance of technical documents, are key responsibilities. The role also includes completing tasks related to end-user onboarding and offboarding, along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 year experience in a technical support environment
  • Experience working with MS Office, ServiceNow, basic IP networking, and troubleshooting.

  • Associate’s degree in IT or equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research technical problems of varying complexity and follow through to resolution.
  • Ensure systems interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems, including servers and peripherals.
  • Maintain appropriate hardware\software inventories and warranties, as well as managing vendor maintenance visits for all managed technologies at the site.
  • Reports to the General Manager and collaborates closely with Production Maintenance Technicians, ensure an optimal/efficient technical environment including equipment configurations.
  • Accurately log/document all issues and work efforts.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of technical documents.
  • Completes tasks related to end-user onboarding and offboarding.
  • Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations.
