About The Position

The East Bonner County Library District is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to help support and maintain the technology systems that keep their libraries connected, secure, and serving the public. This role offers exposure to Microsoft 365, networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, and end-user support, with meaningful work that directly serves the community. The position is based in Sandpoint, Idaho, with district-wide support responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to users of varying technical skill levels
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft 365 administration experience
  • Experience with networking, wireless systems, or cybersecurity tools
  • Familiarity with UniFi networking products
  • Experience supporting public-sector, educational, or nonprofit organizations
  • Experience supporting Apple or Linux systems

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain district technology infrastructure including computers, servers, networking equipment, and related systems
  • Administer Microsoft 365 including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, and user accounts
  • Support network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and cabling
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade technology equipment and systems
  • Provide responsive support to staff and patrons
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printing, login, and network issues
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and security best practices
  • Help manage UniFi networking and security systems
  • Participate in security reviews and technology improvement efforts
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures
  • Assist with staff training and technology onboarding
  • Develop practical support resources and user guides
