About The Position

We are seeking a versatile and proactive IT Specialist to support and maintain our organization's technology systems in a fully remote environment. The ideal candidate will provide technical support, manage IT operations, and ensure the smooth functioning of hardware, software, and network systems. This role requires a well-rounded professional with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

  • Must be currently residing in the United States
  • Valid U.S. work authorization (citizen, permanent resident, or authorized work permit holder)
  • Proven experience in an IT support or IT specialist role
  • Strong understanding of Windows and/or macOS environments
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with help desk tools and remote support technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications)
  • Experience with cloud services (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS, or Azure)
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical problems
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
  • Support remote users with connectivity and system access issues
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and patches
  • Assist with cybersecurity measures, including endpoint protection and compliance
  • Maintain IT documentation, including procedures and system configurations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support operational needs
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT personnel when necessary
