About The Position

T-Solutions is seeking candidates for an IT Specialist/Windows position in our Wallops Island, Virginia office. This role supports the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) at Wallops Island, VA, requiring management, engineering, operation, and technical expertise for the activation, operations, maintenance, and engineering of equipment, systems, and computer programs in support of all NAVSEA and PEO IWS missions. The SCSC provides live and simulated integrated warfare capabilities in a net-centric, maritime environment to develop, test, evaluate, and conduct fleet operations and training for the warfighter.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree within the last five years in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering or similar degree as listed in the DoD 8140 listings from an ABET accredited or NCAE designated institution.
• OR One of the following certifications: CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA Security+, GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security, CompTIA SecurityX (formerly CASP+), Federal IT Security Professional-Operator-NG (FITSP-O), GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC).

• Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired, however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. If the selected candidate does not hold an active clearance, he/she will receive a contingent offer. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.

• Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations.
• Must maintain the capacity to communicate with their supervisor and/or manager when not in the office.

Responsibilities

• Install hardware, build software, configure, and maintain Windows servers and workstations.
• Create and administer user accounts, security groups, and group policy.
• Conduct backups and system recoveries.
• Configure and manage patching solutions and log collection.
• Provide technical support to onsite users.
• Maintain compliance with DoD Security Technical Configuration Guides (STIGs).
• Investigate trouble calls, isolate faults, identify and implement corrective actions to restore information systems operations.
