About The Position

The IT Specialist I supports the implementation, operation, and maintenance of automated IT systems. This role collaborates with supported organizations to define requirements and service level agreements (SLAs), diagnose system issues, and develop appropriate technical solutions in accordance with established policies and standards. Requirements

  • Approximately one (1) to four (4) years of experience in IT systems support or related field.
  • Experience analyzing and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with defining service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex technical and workflow problems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop technical documentation and work instructions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required;OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT automated systems supporting implementation and operations activities.
  • Work with supported organizations to define system requirements and SLAs.
  • Analyze and diagnose hardware, software, systems, and workflow problems.
  • Troubleshoot medium to complex issues across applications, operating systems, and IT equipment.
  • Develop or oversee development of work instructions aligned with policies and standards.
  • Ensure solutions are implemented in accordance with required approvals and compliance guidelines.
  • Support documentation of system configurations and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate with project leadership on issue resolution and system improvements.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements as needed.
  • Report to a project leader or manager.
