About The Position

This announcement is for an IT Specialist (DATAMGT/APPSW) position with the U.S. government. The role involves creating customer applications using current programming languages and technologies to improve processes supporting the organizational mission. The specialist will provide expert analysis and support for the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of DCMA's O365 SharePoint system, including initial setup, configuration, and maintenance of Operational Unit web pages. Responsibilities also include establishing metadata standards, performing site and data analysis, clean-up, migration planning, and providing SharePoint training support for end users. Additionally, the role requires identifying and resolving automated database issues and developing justifications for IT automation-related purchases.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Security Requirements: Special Sensitive requiring incumbent to obtain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security access
  • Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.
  • Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain DoD Dir 8140 Cyber Workforce Codes 451 Intermediate and 441 Basic (was 8570.01 IAT II) within 6 months of appointment to the position
  • One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position.
  • To qualify for the NH-03 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.
  • Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.
  • Creditable specialized experience includes: Experience computer programming/coding in a secure classified computing environment.
  • Thorough understanding of and experience in programming with PowerShell.
  • Experience with Network storage management and design.
  • Experience with Asset management automation.
  • Extensive knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDL) and research involving new or unique programming techniques to develop/modify processes.
  • For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.

  • Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
