Our Vendor Management team plays a critical role in driving value and strong partnerships across our organization. As an IT Sourcing/Vendor Management Analyst, you will help oversee and facilitate the procurement of goods and services through strategic vendor relationships. You will be responsible for analyzing vendor performance, supporting contract negotiations, and ensuring agreements are both cost-effective and aligned with company standards and policies. This position serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, helping maintain productive, collaborative relationships while continuously optimizing vendor value and performance. This is an opportunity to contribute to operational excellence, influence strategic sourcing decisions, and ensure our organization receives maximum value from its supplier partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain or equivalent.
  • One to three (1-3) or more years of experience in Information Technology, Vendor Management or a related area.

  • Strong understanding of IT procurement, budgeting, and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of suppliers and supply markets.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers in the selection of vendors as needed, ensuring best fit of vendors that meet customer operational requirements and strategic goals.
  • Assisting with the negotiation of prices, delivery terms, service levels, and other crucial contract elements.
  • Once contracts are in place, provide support in ongoing management to ensure compliance and to facilitate any necessary renewals or modifications.
  • Knowledge of supplier relationships management and engagement.
  • Understand IT market trends and how they impact the business.
  • Assess the stability and reliability of vendors, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, and developing contingency plans for critical supplier failures.
  • Assist customers in managing costs during contract negotiations.
  • Works closely with Legal, Finance, and Compliance teams on contracting related activities.
  • Conduct research to stay updated on technological advancements and innovative solutions offered by vendors.
  • Maintain updated contract records within the Oshkosh systems of record.
  • Continually seek process improvements to enhance value delivery.
