The Strategic Sourcing Department is hiring a Senior Strategic Sourcing Representative to join our team! As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Representative within the IT Vendor Management Office, you'll be providing the technology vendor management function supporting our P&C IT division. Your responsibilities will include executing vendor management Processes for P&C IT’s strategic suppliers, as well as leading and participating in vendor-related engagements such as RFx’s, SOW’s, market research, proposal/quote evaluations, negotiation, execution and implementation of contracts. Your goal is to ensure Great American is receiving best value for their internal partners from suppliers of technology services and that they meet or exceed their contractual obligations in areas of cost, quality and service levels. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in‑office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Business, Operations, Finance, related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience negotiating technology services and supporting IT functions, ideally within sourcing, procurement, or legal environments.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including the ability to communicate and lead discussions with senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex organizational structures, manage projects effectively, and deliver high‑quality customer service.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
  • Ability to work independently or lead within a team, with strong organizational acumen

Nice To Haves

  • experience in securities, insurance, or financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the IT vendor management framework and oversee the full vendor portfolio.
  • Develop, monitor, and communicate vendor performance metrics through scorecards and dashboards.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews and manage vendor and internal satisfaction surveys with follow‑up action plans.
  • Align vendor performance measures to business objectives and define contractual performance expectations.
  • Partner with the Supplier Relationship Team on contract oversight, including SLA/OLA tracking and benchmarking.
  • Lead moderately complex IT sourcing projects, including market research, supplier evaluation, and price analysis.
  • Develop, issue, and manage RFx processes from submission through evaluation and business decision support.
  • Negotiate IT agreements across cloud, managed services, hardware, and software categories.
  • Guide stakeholders as a business consultant, ensuring effective procurement workflows and informed buying decisions.
  • Monitor industry and technology trends, mentor others as needed, and perform additional duties to support IT procurement and vendor strategy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
