2027 Summer Internship - IT ServiceNow Systems Intern
About The Position
The Systems Specialist Intern supports the successful delivery of technical solutions and services for the ServiceNow platform as part of the Corporate Custom Solutions team. Under the direction of senior team members, the intern contributes to project work and gains supervised work experience alongside educational studies. The program includes 20 hours of classroom lecture, 460 hours of supervised work experience, weekly reading assignments, learning luncheons, and a tour of a local hospital and outpatient clinics. This is a 12-week paid, on-site internship at Select Medical’s corporate office in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The internship runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027, and pays $15.50 per hour. Attendance for the entire internship is required.
Requirements
- Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology and Software Development or a related major.
- Have completed sophomore year before the internship starts.
- Attend the entire internship.
Responsibilities
- Support the full software development life cycle, including requirements review, development, technical documentation, testing, and delivery of system enhancements and new functionality.
- Provide production support.
- Research and communicate identified system improvements.
- Continually demonstrate an increase in development skills within the Select Medical ServiceNow platform.
- Provide transparent project support through clear communication of progress and risks.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow ServiceNow best practices.
- Participate in testing and troubleshooting of existing systems.
