NOTE: This opportunity is a full-time employment position only. The candidate MUST be a U.S. Citizen, local to the northern Charleston SC area, and available to be on-site full-time. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customer engagement, delivering real-time responses to inquiries through multiple channels including telephone support, in-person assistance, and live chat services. Responsibilities include monitoring and triaging tickets, answering questions, analyzing problems, and providing technical assistance. The specialist will also direct calls that do not belong to the site back to Tier 1, monitor and track the IT Service Desk queue, and complete work orders. Hardware support includes on-site touch-labor, troubleshooting, integration, configuration, and installation of authorized hardware, software, and peripherals, as well as equipment staging, burn-in, installation, testing, and documentation. Support for end-user service requests for computer software installation, maintaining workstation/laptop operational baselines and cybersecurity compliance, and providing desk-side and remote user assistance for software and hardware problems are key functions. The role also involves supporting local assets, new technology acquisition, and life cycle management for various IT hardware, supporting inventory management, and Defense Reutilization Marketing Office (DRMO) disposal. Deployment of end-user system images, support for system administrator functions, and ensuring communication with the GSC for queue management are also required. The specialist will professionally communicate with customers, break down technical information, and escalate complex technical issues. Adherence to standard best practices for configuration management using the DHA asset management system (DMLSS) and MHS-SHD is expected, along with supporting formal configuration baselining processes. The role includes assisting with equipment staging, installation, testing, and documentation, and providing oversight and management of administrative accounts within the DHA Site and Support Location’s OUs in mJAD, including Joint Directory Services, electronic messaging, AD services, PKI, SharePoint, and Endpoint Monitoring (EM). Other duties as assigned.
