About The Position

Quartz is seeking one intern to join our IT Service Desk team from June through August 2027. This paid internship offers hands-on experience supporting employees, troubleshooting technology issues, and contributing to IT projects in a professional Service Desk environment. You'll gain practical technical skills, mentorship, and exposure to enterprise technologies while exploring a career in Information Technology.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest in IT Service Desk or Technical Support as a possible career path
  • Graduate between December 2027 and May 2028
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week from June to August 2027
  • Must live within a 1-hour radius of Madison, WI and be willing to travel to headquarters daily from June to August
  • Attend the summer intern program kickoff and retreat (June 1-4, 2027), and final intern presentation (Late July/Early August)
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring work visa sponsorship from Quartz, now or in the future
  • Candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 applications while building technical troubleshooting skills
  • Manage and resolve support tickets using ServiceNow
  • Explore automation tools such as Power Automate and PowerShell to support process improvements and operational efficiency
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles and user documentation to support self-service solutions
