IT Senior Engineer, Software
About The Position
The IT Senior Engineer, Software role is involved in the entire lifecycle of products, including capital projects and operational support. This position requires proactively identifying issues, problem-solving, and implementing workable solutions. The engineer will engage directly with IT management, software development teams, technical product support teams, IT architecture and security, and external vendors to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of technology-based solutions. Responsibilities include making improvements to processes, systems, or products to enhance performance, providing measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement business strategies, and making software design decisions while identifying potential issues, tradeoffs, risks, and the appropriate level of abstraction. The role also involves making legacy code maintainable and adding scripts to simplify developer onboarding. Additionally, the engineer will work emergency restoration assignments as required.
Requirements
- Experience developing with Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Experience supporting Maximo
- Experience supporting SAP Ariba application or integrations between Ariba and platforms like Maximo
- Experience with Ariba Network and Ariba Sourcing
- Experience supporting ETL integrations (WebMethods / Informatica)
- Experience programming with Java and Python
- Experience with J2EE application server (e.g., WebSphere Application Server)
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL development
- Experience with Azure Cloud
- Experience with Jira or VSTS DevOps
- Experience with ETL Integration (WebMethods / Informatica)
- Experience with Ariba Integration Toolkit (AITK)
- Experience with IBM Maximo 8 or 7.x application configuration and support
- Experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and Migration Manager
- Experience with Workflow Designer, Application Designer and Database Configuration applications that are used to configure Maximo
- Experience with Maximo automation scripting and best practices
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
- At least five years of experience in Information Technology or a related occupation
