This position will be based at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC Telos is looking for an IT Security Analyst to provide Functional Mission Analysis-Cyber assistance to identify the United States Air Force weapon system’s critical information technology architecture and supporting infrastructure that aids the warfighting mission. The Telos team supporting Functional Mission Analysis work activities shall possess a fundamental understanding of DoD Mission Assurance concepts and principles and how they relate to the United States Air Force (USAF) Mission. This requires highly complex, cyberspace threat expertise to support increased demands for threat notifications to AF mission/weapon systems. Also, included in this support is communication between cyber, intelligence agencies, civil engineer, logistics, maintenance, etc. Mission Assurance Analysts are service retained, wing-level mission-assurance forces designed to provide persistent cyber defense and internal defensive measures of major weapon systems or key cyber terrain supporting a warfighting mission. Analysts will provide commanders and system owners with decision-quality, actionable information regarding their local cyberspace environment vulnerabilities, prioritized threats, and a calculated cyber risk pertaining to their assigned weapon systems. Analysts will coordinate components necessary to prevent or lessen cyber-attacks that may disrupt, deny, degrade, destroy, exploit, allow unauthorized access to, or facilitate information theft from Air Force Forces platforms and mission systems. Team members shall be familiar with the purpose and use of the Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS) and other similar data base repositories. Together you and your teammates shall possess an in-depth knowledge of various technical resources pertinent to emerging cyber tools and capabilities required to perform functional mission analysis and supporting assessments, including open-source technologies. Knowledge of a full range of Defensive Operation Systems and subsystems as they pertain to understanding the Key Terrain-Cyber (KT-C) are required to ensure Mission Assurance of these systems, to include cybersecurity principles, concepts, practices, products, services, and methods for evaluating risk and vulnerabilities, implementing mitigation improvement, and disseminating cyberspace defense security tools, procedures, and methods for protection of systems and application.
