About The Position

Pivotal Health is seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Security Analyst to join our growing technology team in Fargo, North Dakota. As an IT Security Analyst, you will play a vital role in protecting enterprise systems, securing sensitive healthcare data, and strengthening the cybersecurity posture of a national healthcare organization. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with IT leadership, influence security strategy, and help safeguard mission-critical operations across multiple locations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT security analysis
  • Experience working with security monitoring and SIEM platforms
  • Knowledge of endpoint protection, antivirus, and endpoint detection solutions
  • Experience managing or supporting network security technologies including firewalls and IDS/IPS tools
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, remediation, and threat mitigation processes
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to investigate, prioritize, and respond effectively to security incidents
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, or related credentials
  • Experience in healthcare IT or other highly regulated environments
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, cybersecurity frameworks, and data protection standards
  • Experience with Microsoft security tools, Microsoft Defender, Azure security solutions, or cloud security platforms
  • Familiarity with security governance, risk management, and compliance programs

Responsibilities

  • Monitor networks, endpoints, and systems for security threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity
  • Investigate, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and security alerts
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts
  • Maintain and support security technologies, including SIEM, endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other monitoring tools
  • Assist in implementing cybersecurity controls, security policies, and best practices
  • Support compliance initiatives related to HIPAA and healthcare security requirements
  • Perform risk assessments, security audits, and control reviews
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure secure system configurations
  • Help develop, maintain, and test incident response and disaster recovery plans
  • Research emerging cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and industry trends
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen overall organizational security
